SMTP

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is a standard communication protocol used for sending and relaying electronic mail between servers. It operates on a client-server model where a client sends an email message to a mail server, which then uses the protocol to route the message to the recipient's mail server. SMTP primarily handles the outgoing transmission of messages, while other protocols like IMAP or POP3 are typically used to retrieve incoming emails from a server.
